Mario Galindo Rojas, founder of “Mario Galindo R. & CIA LTDA”, today “Galindo Ingeniería SRL”, left an invaluable legacy in the field of structural engineering in Bolivia and Latin America. With more than 50 years of experience, he led the design and construction of more than 300 emblematic projects.

Among his most outstanding works are the San Miguel Arcángel Church, the Olympic Swimming Pool (recognized with a South American award) and the Corazón de María Parish (awarded as the best construction of its time).

Graduated as a Civil Engineer from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, Mr. Galindo was a reference in Bolivian engineering, occupying key positions such as:

- President of the Bolivian Society of Engineers.
- President of the National Engineering Council.
- Vice President of the Latin American Structures Committee.
- President of the Permanent Committee of Reinforced Concrete.
- President of the Bolivian Prestressing Association.

He also represented Bolivia as a delegate to the Ibero-American Engineering Federation. He led the drafting of Law 1449 of the Professional Practice of Engineering as well as the Bolivian Code of Reinforced Concrete (CBH-87).

His vision, commitment and leadership as an engineer shaped the development of engineering in Bolivia. As a professor at several universities, he left a school of design by training hundreds of engineers and architects, creating a lasting impact on future generations of professionals.

Mr. Julio Galindo Queralt is a recognized professional with more than 35 years of experience as a structural engineer in the fields of design, calculation, supervision and construction. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Design from the Escuela Militar de Ingeniería (EMI) in La Paz, Bolivia, and a specialization in Satellite Geodesy.

He is a leading expert in real-time satellite geodetic surveying for oil and gas pipelines, as well as digital terrestrial photogrammetry applied to refineries. He is currently involved in mining exploration projects, cadastral applications, 3D CNC manufacturing and deep drilling.

An innovator and visionary, Mr. Galindo is an inventor and manufacturer of drilling machines, stress measurement instruments and rock fracturing tools capable of withstanding pressures up to 420 MPa. Throughout his career, he has held positions as Executive Director and Development Director in three companies with international presence in Chile, Argentina and Bolivia.

Dr. Eng. Mario Galindo Queralt is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Galindo Ingeniería and a leading figure in structural engineering, with over 40 years of experience. He has contributed to more than 500 large-scale projects across Bolivia, Europe, and South America.

Graduated as a Civil Engineer from the Escuela Militar de Ingeniería (EMI), he complemented his education with a Master in Numerical Methods for Engineering Calculation and Design and a PhD in Civil Engineering with an “Apto Cum Laude” qualification, both degrees obtained at the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC). He also has a specialization in Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University (USA).

Throughout his career, he held important positions as President of the Society of Engineers of Bolivia, Departmental La Paz, and Director of SAMAPA, among others.

Among his most outstanding achievements are:

- Pathology study of El Alcazar Building.
- Design, structural calculation and seismic-resistant verification of several of the tallest buildings in Bolivia.
- Design of structures for the most important cement and mining factories in Bolivia.
- Development of specialized engineering tools and software, from artificial intelligence programs, topological optimization and Finite Element Calculation.

He has taught undergraduate and graduate classes at several Bolivian universities such as the Escuela Militar de Ingeniería, Universidad Católica San Pablo, Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, Universidad Autónoma Juan Misael Saracho in Tarija and Universidad Autónoma Tomás Frías in Potosí.
