SOBOPRET, a subsidiary of SOBOCE S.A., hired us in 2022 to verify and design its prestressed joists. All types of slabs were studied and verified, for single and double joists, with spacings of 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 centimeters.
The result is that, by modifying some joists, we confirmed that they can be used for spans of up to 9.70 meters in housing structures, with the safety margins set by the Bolivian codes. The project was carried out with our in-house program CID, with which we calculate the interaction diagrams for ultimate strength, cracking, no-tension and service.
